The organization American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (“ACEEE”) published its annual report titled:
2019 State Energy Efficiency Scorecard (“Report”)
The Report ranks the U.S. states on their policy and program efforts to save energy.
ACEEE characterizes the Report as ranking states both on their policy and program efforts in regards to energy efficiency. Further, the organization states the Report assesses:
- Performance
- Best Practices
- Leadership
Also described are more recent policy developments and state initiatives to reduce energy consumption along with policy tools available to governors, state legislators and regulators.
The Report includes eight chapters:
- Introduction, Methodology, and Results
- Utility and Public Benefits Programs and Policies
- Transportation Policies
- Building Energy Efficiency Policies
- Combined Heat and Power
- State Government-Led Initiatives
- Appliance and Equipment Efficiency Standards
- Conclusions
