West Africa Ebola Outbreak -

On August 21st, the United Nations (U.N.) World Health Organization (WHO) announced plans to convene medical experts for a September 4th-5th meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, to gather expertise on the most promising experimental therapies and their role in containing the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. This discussion is expected to focus on safety, efficacy, and models for expediting clinical trials. The meeting is expected to attract more than 100 participants, including at least 20 participants from the African countries that have been impacted by the epidemic.
