  • Indiana AG Todd Rokita filed Verified Petitions to Enforce Civil Investigative Demands against voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) providers Michael D. Lansky, LLC—d/b/a Avid Telecom—and One Eye LLC (collectively, “robocall companies”) asserting that the robocall companies allegedly routed millions of illegal robocalls in violation of the Telemarketing Sales Rule, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and state robocall laws.
  • According to AG Rokita’s office, the robocall companies and their CEOs engaged in various behaviors designed to facilitate illegal robocalling in violation of Indiana laws and, in one instances, a cease-and-desist letter issued by the FCC.
  • The petition against Avid Telecom alleges that Avid Telecom objected to answering its CID, and the petition against One Eye alleges that One Eye failed to respond to its CID. In both petitions, AG Rokita has requested a hearing, a court order directing each VoIP provider to fully respond to its CID, attorney’s fees and costs, and other relief.
