Consequently:

1) Cases with a deadline on or before April 30, 2020 will have as a new term May 04, 2020 (Friday May 01 is an official holiday).

2) So far, there is no change in cases with deadlines on May 04, 2020 or later.

It is important to mention that IMPI has enabled the option to file online promotions as of yesterday (April 16). However, the filing date of such online promotions will be the day IMPI resumes its activities.

Regarding “plant breeders’ rights”, the National Seed Inspection and Certification Service (SNICS) has also suspended terms and deadlines. However, it is possible to file applications via email or through UPOV PRISMA platform.
