This study was conducted by the Annals New York Academy of Sciences to analyze the asbestos fibers in lung, parenchyma, pleural plaques, and mesothelioma tissues of North American insulation workers. The inhalation of asbestos particles often lead to diseases such as asbestosis, mesothelioma and lung cancer.
