Parents of young children and infants tend to overspend when it comes to products designed for those little people to use because they want to make sure that they are not cutting corners on quality or on safety. Unfortunately, relatively high-end products are just as likely to be recalled as those on the lower end of the pricing scale. That notion was reinforced once again today when a stroller company initiated a recall of several units of its baby strollers because of the discovery that these units presented a strangulation hazard for the children who rode inside of them.

Below you will find a brief overview of the baby stroller recall that was announced today. You will also find information regarding which units were recalled, what you should do if you own one of these products and information regarding the difficult realities of taking on a corporation if you or someone you love has been injured by this or any other consumer product. Anyone who has suffered in this manner needs to obtain the help of experienced California defective products lawyers as soon as possible.

The EVO Stroller Recall

Earlier today, Mutsy USA, the manufacturer of an entire line of baby strollers that are known as EVO Strollers initiated a voluntary recall of several different models of its product line. This announcement was made because it was discovered that the design of the product made it possible for a child who was riding inside of any of these units to slide down and be caught by the neck between the grab bar that’s mounted on the product and the bottom of the passenger’s seat.

To date and to the company’s credit, this recall was announced before any injuries had been recorded while using these strollers. The models that were recalled included the MT12-03, MT12-11, MT12-14, MT12-31, MT12-34, MT12-37, MT12-39, MT12-42, MT12-43 and MT12-48. Anyone who owns one of these strollers should look on the back of the unit and underneath the stroller seat for a white sticker that will provide this model information. These products were sold in several different retail outlets across the United States between February and November of 2012, and consumers are encouraged to contact the company to receive a free replacement for these faulty parts.

Defective Products and Legal Fallout

Unfortunately, defective products will continue to injure people or worse because not enough consumers will be made aware of the dangers involved with using them. If this situation arises and people attempt to hold those responsible accountable, they will soon realize that they are attempting to take on a corporation with vast resources at their disposal.

If you or someone you love has been harmed by this or any other product, you need to seek the help of California defective products lawyers who have been fighting for the rights of consumers for many years. Contact the Demas Law Group today to schedule a free initial consultation.
