Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission Regulation 30 (Remedial Action Trust Fund Hazardous Substance Site Priority List): December 4th Hearing Scheduled

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) issued a November 28th news release stating that the Arkansas Pollution Control and Ecology Commission (“Commission”) will hold a public hearing on December 4th to receive comments on proposed revisions to Regulation 30.

Regulation 30 addresses the Remedial Action Trust Fund Hazardous Substance Site Priority List.

The proposed amendments include:

  • Two sites to be deleted from the State Priority List which are:
    • Starett/Leer Manufacturing, Dumas, Arkansas
    • Value Line, Arkadelphia, Arkansas
  • Addition of a new chapter 4 to the Regulation to address Act 1073 and the use of assessment grants for potentially contaminated sites for the facilitation of economic development and environmental improvement
  • Minor revisions to include correcting typographical, grammatical, formatting and stylistic errors

The hearing will be held at ADEQ headquarters, 5301 Northshore Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas at 10:00 a.m.
