This is a study to determine the types, concentration and morphology of asbestos fibre retained in human lung tissue by analytical transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Asbestos can be very harmful when inhaled and often leads to diseases such as mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer and pleural diseases.
