The Bank of England has indicated a move from its strategy of quantitative easing (QE) as a means to stimulate the economy and is instead promoting a more "mixed" strategy. The new governor of the Bank, Mark Carney, has instigated a major change away from QE, replacing it with other measures including guiding financial markets.
