Barbara Walters’ Daughter Out of Control When Arrested for DUI

This past Sunday, Jacqueline Walters Danforth – the 44-year-old daughter of Barbara Walters – was arrested for DUI in Naples, Florida. According to the police report, Danforth was found in the driver’s seat of a Honda Pilot that was stopped on the highway at around 1:24AM without its lights on. A male passenger, who Danforth described as her boyfriend, was sitting next to her. Both of them appeared to be extremely intoxicated at the scene.

When the police placed the male passenger in handcuffs, Danforth started to shout and attempted to grab one of the officers. The report states that the arresting officer was afraid that she might run into traffic out on the highway – therefore, he took her to ground and secured her in handcuffs, citing her unpredictable behavior as the reason. When Danforth eventually took a Breathalyzer test, the reading was .218, over twice the legal limit.
