The SEC has announced that EDGAR will be closed on Friday, June 18, 2021, in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day. That means that, on June 18, 2021, EDGAR will not be operational, filings will not be accepted on EDGAR and EDGAR Filer Support will be closed. Reuters is also reporting that the SEC will close its offices on Friday in observance of Juneteenth.

Friday will be treated as a federal holiday for filing purposes. According to the announcement, filings required to be made on Friday, June 18, 2021 will be considered timely if filed on or before June 21, 2021, because June 21, 2021 is EDGAR’s next operational business day.

The legislation making Juneteenth, a day commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, a federal holiday was signed into law today. The law took effect immediately upon signing, with the result that, according to a tweet from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, federal workers will be able to observe the occasion this Friday (since June 19 falls on a Saturday).
