BAUCUS CONFIRMATION HEARING SET

On January 28, Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT) is set to appear before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on his nomination to serve as the next U.S. ambassador to China.  The confirmation process for Baucus is expected to be swift, with Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) assuming the committee chairmanship following Baucus’ departure.
