Many charities wish to conduct raffles as a way to gain public support. While this can be an excellent way for a charity to increase public recognition and awareness as well as donations, a large number of charitable organizations may be unaware of the state and federal laws regarding charitable raffles. It is imperative that charitable organizations planning to conduct a raffle be aware of all the regulations governing the operation of such activities.
