City Of Los Angeles Creates Task Force To Boost Growth Industries

The Los Angeles Mayor’s Council on Innovation and Industry (LAMCII) has launched. LAMCII is an effort “to focus national and worldwide attention on the thriving Innovation Economy in Greater Los Angeles and facilitate community and government actions to drive continued innovation, entrepreneurship and venture capital in the region.” [see Press Release]

LAMCII includes twenty-six (26) council members, a broad cross-section of local business leaders in technology, media and finance. The group intends to achieve the organization’s goals through actionable plans focused on several areas, including the promotion of Los Angeles as an emerging growth community, leveraging the region’s world class educational resources, attracting more growth capital, and developing ways that local government can facilitate innovation and growth. http://bit.ly/T17EWv
