CLIFTON N. MILLER and JOHN R. LaBAR - $10 Million wrongful death lawsuit filed against Coffee County, Tennessee in the death of a young woman confined to the Coffee County Jail on a minor charge. (Alton Lee Presley, individually, and as next friend of Angel Taylor, a minor v. Coffee County, Tennessee, Stephen M. Graves, Sheriff of Coffee County, Tennessee, et. al., Case No. 4:10-cv-77, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee). The lawsuit, filed on November 4, 2010 in the U.S. District Court seeks $5 million in compensatory and $5 million in punitive damages as a result of the death of Allison Joy Taylor who was only 22 years old. The complaint alleges that the Sheriff and correctional officers at Coffee County Jail failed to provide medical care to Allison even though her dire need for medical care was clear.
