As the year comes to a close, you will soon be receiving a reminder to complete this year’s annual Code certification. Every year we receive questions about the process so, this year, we wanted to try to address these frequently asked questions in advance and remind everyone why we need your support and cooperation in completing this important annual task.

Q: How does the company use the certification information that it gathers?

A: The annual certification process often generates discussions within the company about our policies and these discussions help us identify areas or topics that may need to be updated in the coming year. The information also helps us discover if certain business units or groups need additional help in addressing their ethics and compliance needs. This allows us to use our resources more effectively.


To help you craft your annual Code certification message to stakeholders, we’ve included five options for annual acknowledgment language in order from the simplest version to a multi-pronged message for both employees and leaders.
