Congressional Push to Mandate Use of E-Verify

Late last month, a legislative proposal known as the Legal Workforce Act moved out of a House committee and will now be scheduled for House vote.

Among other things, this measure would require employers to use the E-Verify system to confirm a prospective employee’s eligibility to work in the U.S.
