The House this week will cast its first votes under a new proxy voting system. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), along with 20 other Republican lawmakers, filed a lawsuit this week challenging proxy voting, calling it unconstitutional. Four constituents are also signing on to the lawsuit, claiming their representation in Congress is at risk of being diluted.
