Full text copy of a bill introduced on 9-20-2011 to the Committee on Financial Services to: "improve the circulation of $1 coins, to remove barrier to the circulation of such coins, and for other purposes..."

The point: get the U.S. to start using dollar coins - and save $5 billion a year in the process. Includes transitioning out of circulation the Susan B. Anthony dollar.

The bill is sponsored by Jeb Hensarling (R-TX), Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-MO), Jim Renacci (R-OH), and Pat Tiberi (R-OH)...
