David Chen, a neighbourhood grocer, was arrested by the Toronto Police for numerous criminal after he performed a citizen's arrest on career criminal Anthony Bennett. Now his lawyer Peter Lindsay are potentially going to challenge the scope of Canada's citizen arrest laws as found in section 494 of the Criminal Code of Canada.
