A federal judge in the U.S.Court of Federal Claims has denied the Government's motion for summary judgment on the question of whether the U.S. Forest Service has taken a rancher's water rights for its cattle on the Sacramenton Grazing Allotment. The lawsuit arises out of the Forest Service's alleged repeated refusals to allow the ranch owner the right to access the grazing allotment, and to access the water rights owned on the grazing allotment.
