Moore v. Mt. Carmel Health Sys., Slip Opinion No. 2020-Ohio-4113

In this case, the Ohio Supreme Court held that when a plaintiff fails to obtain service within the one-year

period to do so, and the action has neither failed (other than on its merits) nor been refiled, Ohio’s savings

statute does not apply.
