Door to U.S. May Open Wider for Highly Skilled Immigrants


Reportedly, there is bipartisan support in Congress for legislation that would raise the long-time ceiling on green cards (permanent residence visas) for highly-skilled immigrants who can help the ailing U.S. economy.

One such piece of legislation that was recently introduced in the House is The Fairness for Highly Skilled Immigrants Act, which would eliminate annual caps on green card numbers for employment-based immigration visas and increase the cap for related family-based immigration.
