A woman in Baytown, Texas was discovered injured in a parking lot and needed to be taken to the hospital by helicopter. She told police that she was struck by a car, but the driver fled the scene before the police arrived, according to report in KHOU. Of course, fleeing the scene of an accident is a crime and the situation will obviously trigger a criminal investigation into the matter. For people who are injured in this way, however, the scenario can be incredibly frustrating when they don't know who actually did the damage.
