Effective this month, the EB-2 India category advanced approximately six months, to June 15, 2008, after having advanced three years in the month before. This means that applicants born in India who have priority dates before June 15, 2008, and who are applying for permanent residency under the Employment-Based, Second (EB-2) category, are now eligible to file Applications to Adjust Status in the United States, or have immigrant visas issued abroad.
