The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission released today its final rules governing wellness programs and how wellness incentives mesh with the restrictions in the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act. For our coverage of the proposed rules, go here (ADA, issued in April 2015) and here (GINA, issued in October 2015).

We are reviewing both final rules and will issue a comprehensive client bulletin in the near future.
