The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expected to announce that it will extend the deadline for the 2020 Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) chemical data reporting (CDR) period from November 30, 2020, to January 29, 2021. EPA had previously extended the CDR reporting period once before. A press release from EPA is forthcoming.

TSCA Section 8(a)(1) provides EPA with the authority to promulgate rules requiring chemical processors and manufacturers (including importers) to keep and submit records to EPA. Generally, the CDR rules require importers and manufacturers of certain chemicals on the TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory to report their use, manufacturing, and processing of these chemicals every four years.
