Article is brief summation of problem that many new Mexican homebuyers have but little or few understand: the estate tax exemption is $5 Million for citizens, but only $60,000 for non-resident aliens.

Consequently, many foreign nationals unwittingly buy a second home in the U.S. without taking steps to avoid or minimize the 35% tax payable from their estate at death.
