It was announced just this Monday that Mary Schapiro would be stepping down as Chairwoman of the Securities and Exchange Commission after four tough but effective years on the job. Filling in to replace her will be Elisse Walter, a seasoned regulator cut from the same cloth as her predecessor. Joining me today to discuss Schapiro’s legacy and the impact of her departure is Brooks Pierce attorney David Smyth, author on the excellent Cady Bar the Door.
