FCC Announces E-Rate Cap for Funding Year 2016

The FCC announced that, for Funding Year 2016, the E-rate cap will be $3.939 billion.

The inflation-indexed cap reflects a one percent increase over the $3.9 billion FY2015 cap.  USAC will apply $29 million of the additional funds to Category 1 service requests and the remaining $10 million to Category 2 requests.
