Kenneth E. Mahaffy, Jr., a man whose conviction in the alleged ‘Squawk Box’ case was overturned files notice with the United States Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission alleging false arrest, malicious prosecution and related claims.

Mahaffy, accuses prosecutors from the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission of acting in collusion with Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney to maliciously prosecute him for alleged “front-running” when they knew there was no legal basis for such claims.
