NOTE: We previously wrote about this topic in October.

On Friday, FERC issued a notice for the workshop on filing reactive power rate schedules for which there is no compensation. The workshop is scheduled for next Wednesday, December 11, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at FERC's offices in Washington, DC.

Commission staff will lead the workshop, which will include presentations from industry panelists. Most of the questions will focus on how the filings should be prepared; however, one question asks whether the existing pro forma large and small interconnection agreements could be interpreted as already providing for a zero rate on file for reactive power service.

For those unable to attend the workshop, you can listen in via webcast. Go to the Calendar of Events at www.ferc.gov and locate the workshop in the calendar.
