Claimant underwent treatment for low back pain prior to sustaining a work related injury to her lumbar spine as a result of being thrown against a wall and open door when trying to break up a fight between two students. Pre-accident MRI's scans were compared to post accident scans. The post accident MRI's showed a change in the condition of her lumbar spine. The change was arguably acute. Claimant symptoms became worse, medications increased, and limitations became more restrictive. The major contributing cause of the claimant's need for treatment was the occupational accident.
