Sacramento County DA Anne Marie Schubert, a former Republican and currently registered as “No Party Preference,” announced her candidacy in the 2022 election for the California AG’s office, currently held by Democratic AG Rob Bonta.
AG Bonta was recently confirmed to replace Xavier Becerra, who joined the Biden cabinet as the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.
