Foley Hoag and the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed) collaborated on an important resource guiding manufacturers, importers, and producers of taxable medical devices through the newly released Internal Revenue regulations on the excise tax imposed on the sale of certain medical devices. The regulations are in response to Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 in conjunction with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
