GB: Point-of-consumption amendments to the Gambling Act receive Royal Assent

The Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act received Royal Assent last night (14 May), ending weeks of speculation in the industry as to when the amendments to the British Gambling Act 2005 would finally go through the final stage of our legislative process.

We await the statutory instrument that will confirm the precise timetable for implementation and the transition from the current point-of-supply regime to the enacted point-of-consumption regime.
