GB: Statutory Instrument confirming transitional timetable for the upcoming licensing process is published

The Government has published The Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2014, which confirms the transitional timetable for the upcoming licensing process.

Applications for continuation rights must be in by 16 September, a month later than was envisaged by many in the industry.

The amendments to the Gambling Act will be fully implemented on 1 October.
