Hawaii Poised To Enact Tax Whistleblower Statute


The Hawaii State Legislature is poised to enact a tax whistleblower reward statute modeled upon 26 U.S.C. 7623. Whistleblowers reporting tax wrongdoing can potentially receive up to 30% of the tax, penatly, interest, and additions to tax actually collected, depending on various criteria.
