This week, we as stakeholders and political observers hit a tangible milestone with the midterms. How this Tuesday goes will mean a lot in the health care for the next two years, and carries the potential to drastically alter the political landscape. The latest House polling suggests the Democrats are poised to seize the majority. The final margin in the House matters significantly for governing. The larger the margin, the more active and bold the majority can be with their agenda.

The Senate leans towards Republicans but with a number of races too close to call. In the Senate, the latest polling shows candidates in a number of states are in a dead heat heading into Tuesday’s vote. States like Arizona, Nevada, Missouri, Indiana, and Florida are still very much in play and hold huge implications for the Senate moving forward. Also remember that seats won Tuesday aren’t up again until 2024. Wins in the toss up races will have an impact on the next two Senate election cycles as the parties battle for control.
