The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced on April 25, 2013 that it has revoked the certification of two electronic health records (EHR) products.  The products, EHRMagic-Inpatient and EHRMagic-Ambulatory, were both developed by California-based company EHRMagic Inc.   Such products previously were certified to be used in the EHR Incentive Program, but with the revocation, providers now cannot use the products to meet EHR Incentive Program requirements. Responding to notification regarding potential functionality problems with the EHRMagic-Inpatient and EHRMagic-Ambulatory products, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) retested these products.  Both products failed ONC's testing.   Before the products may be used again to meet requirements under the EHR Incentive Program, they must be re-certified by an approved national accrediting body.  The HHS notice may be found here.
