How to Deal with the Distribution of Intellectual Property Assets in Divorce

Judith L. Poller, Co-Chair of Pryor Cashman’s Family Law Group, has written an article, with Associate Elizabeth S. Warner, entitled “How to Deal with the Distribution of Intellectual Property Assets in Divorce.” The article was published in the September, 2011 edition of The Matrimonial Strategist, a national journal for family law practitioners.

In their article, Poller and Warner explore the difficulties that arise in a divorce when intellectual property assets have been developed during the marriage. In addition, the authors have examined the different types of intellectual property assets subject to division in divorce, and offer creative solutions for handling their distribution.
