I Am The Executor. I Don't Need An Attorney To Help Me...Or Do I?

North Carolina does not require an Executor or Administrator of an estate to retain an attorney to assist them. However, there are many requirements and deadlines that the general public isn't aware of. And, the Clerk won't give you legal guidance because they are not permitted to do so. Missing a filing deadline or tax filing can have serious financial consequences.
