In an accident that caused quite a bit of commotion on Interstate-565 in Huntsville, the pursuit of an SUV by police ended when the fleeing vehicle struck a minivan and another car that was caught in the unfolding of events. The accident served to stop the SUV, which police then surrounded to apprehend the driver. It remains unknown why police were in pursuit of this driver. The series of events did close Interstate-565 for a period of time.

However, the driver could be facing consequences that extend beyond whatever criminal charges he or she is facing that led up to the pursuit. Whether or not the drivers and passengers of the two innocent vehicles that got caught and struck in this pursuit suffered injuries remains unknown.

However, if those individuals were injured, it would not be difficult to say that the SUV driver caused the accident and subsequent injuries. In similar instances where a car accident leads to a victim suffering serious injury because of a negligent driver, the victim can stand to pursue financial compensation.

Such compensation can work to cover medical expenses, and compensate the pain and suffering a victim is made to endure. If a car accident victim is thinking that this is a recovery option they would like to pursue, an experienced personal injury attorney can assist the individual in understanding if they have a case and how best to proceed.
