This is a presentation given to the Sino British workshop in Beijing. May 2011 on the future of energy storage technology and policy. This was a joint seminar between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Royal Academy of Engineering, hosted by Prof Jianlin Cao, Vice Minister of Science and Technology of the PRC.

The seminar followed a visit by the delegation from the Chinese Academy of Sciences for a joint workshop exploring the science, engineering and national policy requirements for developing and implementing energy storage technology. The Chinese delegation was led by Professor Li Jinghai, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
