The American Bankers Association published "Introduction to Mortgage Lending (Third Edition)" in 2009 as a textbook and training tool for new bankers and mortgage loan officers. The table of contents, preface and introduction are included below. Andrea Lee Negroni and Jeremiah S. Buckley are co-authors of this text, which addresses the business of mortgage lending, real estate and mortgage law, the laws of residential real estate lending, appraisals, the financing of real estate, the servicing of mortgage loans, the secondary mortgage market, government involvement in mortgage lending, construction and land development lending, and mortgage fraud, among other things. There is also a glossary of mortgage finance and legal terms at the end of the text, and test questions at the end of each chapter. The American Bankers Association holds the copyright and copies of the work are available from that organization.
