Kolcraft Recalls Stroller due to Fingertip Amputation and Laceration Hazards

Kolcraft issued a recall on their product entitled the Contours Three-and four-wheeled strollers today after receiving three reports of children whose fingertips were amputated, and two reports of adults who received finger lacerations. According to reports the child or consumer’s finger can become caught in the opening formed when locking and unlocking the hinge mechanism, which is used to adjust the handlebars on the strollers. This recall applies to strollers manufactured between January 2006 and November 2009, and applies to all color schemes. If you have one of the recalled Kolcraft strollers you should discontinue use immediately and contact the company.
