This memorandum was used by Peter Bethune's defense attorneys today in his defense against all charges brought against him by Japan. Mr. Bethune was a volunteer activist with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society who was arrested by the Japanese authorities for having boarded the Japanese whaling vessel, Shonan Maru #2.
