Milbank's Big Bet, American Lawyer (May 2011)

The Wall Street firm of Milbank Tweed has stepped out of the pack to create a new lawyer development program called Milbank@Harvard. Although the program may look expensive to its peers, its business logic bears a striking similarity to the original Cravath system -- it simultaneously serves the needs of associates, partners, and clients. Milbank@Harvard reflects a different market place than the Wall Street of 100 years ago. If its business logic truly fits the times, just like the original Cravath system, Milbank@Harvard could set the new standard for training in the 21st century law firm.
