The Nigerian Government has amended its national minimum wage law to enable it and other tiers of government increase the national minimum wage paid to all employees in Nigeria. This further amended legislation however raises some constitutional questions as to the authority of the Federal Government to legislate a national minimum wage for all employees in the Federal, State and Local Government Areas of Nigeria.
