As we alerted you in March, the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) released a new version of the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, but allowed employers to continue using the previous version for a limited time. Starting Tuesday, May 7, 2013, the previous version will no longer be accepted and all employers should be using the newest version of the form.

The revised form has some new features, including new fields and a new format to hopefully reduce errors. It also contains expanded instructions.
